My obsession with discovering secluded locations across LA inspired the name of my company, Hidden Date. Far from the city buzz, I relish the bliss of privacy. I reside in the tranquil city of San Pedro with my husband and our charming Frenchie, Pablo.

In my own relationship, I’ve noticed a scarcity of activities tailored for couples. Choices are often limited to dining out or movie nights, leading to a predictable routine. I took this observation to heart, transitioned from a corporate marketing career, and established Hidden Date. Our mission is to infuse joyful memories into couples’ lives. As someone passionately organized and attuned to aesthetics, I’m convinced this was the right path for me.

Clients and I collaborate as teammates, co-creating each event. They bring innovative ideas, while I, akin to an artist, execute the details to manifest a magical, stress-free experience. Attention to every subtle element is my forte, ensuring that every event is a bespoke masterpiece.

Every romantic occasion, from playful beach dates to luxurious birthday picnics, mirrors the uniqueness of each love story. Just as an artist brings a canvas to life with distinct colors and patterns, I strive to curate events echoing the individuality of each couple. I aim for that delightful moment where both partners exclaim, “Yes, that’s so us!”

In my leisure time, I’m enveloped in the warmth of family and friends or engaging in hobbies. Surfing, tennis, and winter sports fill my adventurous spirit, although I confess, my surfing skills require polishing. Vintage and thrift stores captivate my attention, serving as wellsprings of inspiration.

My petite patio garden, graced by two baby avocado trees sprouted from seeds, is my pride and joy. Also, I have a passion for graphic design, a skill that complements my role at Hidden Date beautifully.

Hidden Date is more than an event planning entity; it’s a vessel through which I celebrate and honor the diversity of love in all its variety of forms. Each event is a crafted symphony of elegance, intimacy, and personalization, igniting unforgettable memories in the lives of our clients.

    What’s included in your picnic packages?

    How far in advance should I book?

    We recommend booking at least 3–4 days in advance.

    Last-minute? We’ll try to accommodate!

    Day-before reservations incur a $100 urgency fee.

    Same-day reservations, if available, incur a $150 fee.

    Can I choose the location?

    Absolutely! You’re welcome to suggest a location, and we’ll let you know if there are any accessibility issues, parking limitations, or crowding concerns.

    What if I don’t know which package to choose?

    We’re here to help! Whether you’re planning a romantic date or a milestone celebration, just tell us a bit about your event and we’ll recommend the best package for your occasion and group size.

    How long is the picnic experience? Can I add more time?

    Picnics start at 2 hours

    Proposal setups start at 1 hour

    Need more time?

    +30 minutes: $55

    +1 hour: $70

    Where do you offer picnics?

    We service most beaches and parks across Los Angeles & Orange County, with select coverage in Ventura County. Private homes and backyards? No problem—we do those too!

    Do you offer setups in Laguna Beach?

    Yes, we do offer setups in Laguna Beach. However, many beach access points involve stairs or narrow pathways, making transport a bit more complex. Additionally, the area is very busy during spring and summer, especially on weekends.

    We recommend weekday or early morning bookings for the best experience. A location difficulty fee may apply depending on access and logistics—we’ll always notify you in advance.

    Are permits required for public locations?

    Some public parks and beaches—especially for larger groups or later evening events—may require a permit. We’ll guide you through that if needed.

    What if it’s windy or the beach is crowded?

    We monitor the weather closely but are not liable for windy conditions if you choose to proceed.

    As for crowds—while we always aim to find the most private area available, we cannot control beachgoers or ensure complete seclusion in public spaces.

    What if it rains or there’s bad weather?

    You get one free reschedule in case of inclement weather. We’ll notify you in advance if we foresee issues.

    What is your rescheduling and cancellation policy?

    Here’s a simplified version of our service terms:

     

    – 2–10 guests: One free reschedule if notified at least 72 hours in advance

    – Late notice: $150 reschedule fee

    – Larger groups: One free reschedule if notified 7+ days in advance

    – Less than 7 days: $250 fee

    – Weather exceptions: No fees for rescheduling due to **rain or stormy wind**

     

    Cancellations:

    – Deposit is non-refundable

    – If cancellation is made 72+ hours in advance: remaining balance is refunded in full

    Less than 72 hours: 25% refund of remaining balance

    Can I change the date after booking?

    Yes! Just let us know at least 72 hours in advance and we’ll happily reschedule your event.

    What’s your maximum guest count?

    We can accommodate up to 30 guests. For larger parties, reach out for a custom quote!

    Do you offer bundle pricing for groups?

    Yes! The more you bring, the more you save:

    Is it kid- or pet-friendly?

    Absolutely! We welcome children and pets.

    Note: Some beaches do not allow dogs—contact us and we’ll suggest pet-friendly spots.

    Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

    Yes! Our trusted food vendors can accommodate most dietary needs. Just let us know in advance.

    Can I request a custom setup or theme?

    Of course. Email us your ideas and we’ll bring your vision to life!

    Do you offer any extras?

    Do you offer proposal packages?

    Yes—we love helping you pop the question! See our curated Proposal Packages.

    Do you offer photography? Can I bring my own?

    Both options are available! We have professional photographers available (from $300/hr), or you’re welcome to bring your own.

    How does payment work?

    After you approve the proposal, we send a contract and collect a 50% deposit to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 24 hours before the event.

    We accept: Zelle, PayPal, debit & credit cards.

    Do you charge a travel or setup fee?

    Yes—a travel fee applies based on distance and location. This covers gas, commute time, and parking. You’ll see this clearly listed in your quote.

    Is gratuity included?

    Gratuity is not included but always appreciated by our setup team 💛

    What if I’m running late to my picnic?

    Let us know as soon as possible! You can also add extra time—see Question 5 for extension rates.
